Being a goalie has taught me that you can’t succeed on your own and need a team to win. However, in the end, it is the goalie’s responsibility to make the saves you’re supposed to and as many of the difficult ones as you can all while being the field leader that everyone looks to for direction. I use this same philosophy in my personal life as well. Whether it’s maintaining my high academic standards or working toward my dream of playing at the highest level of soccer at the Division 1 level, it takes a lot of people to help me, but at the end of the day, it is my responsibility to attain those goals. I’ve been described as having a great work ethic, strong hands, and being coachable.
