I have been a starting defender for my varsity highschool soccer team since freshman year, playing both outside back and center back. During my freshman year, I contributed to 8 goals as a defender and my team also won the Class A state championship in Pennsylvania. As a center back my sophomore year, I contributed to 4 goals and lead my team to the Class A State semi-finals. As a junior, I started as a center back and scored 14 goals leading my team to WPIAL Champions and Class A state runner up. Individually I won All Section and All WPIAL awards as a defender, the first to ever do so from my school. I currently play for Pittsburgh Football Club in the Nationals League where I start as an outside defender. Outside of soccer, I also play 5 varsity sports including swimming, track and field, lacrosse, football. This year I was the first female to be rostered and score an extra point on our schools varsity football team.
While sports have always played a large role in my life, academics and extracurriculars have always been important to me. I am a junior at Shady Side Academy; a prestigious preparatory school in Fox Chapel, Pennsylvania. I currently hold a 3.86 GPA and I am in the top 25% of my class. My PSAT 11 score was a 1330 and my ACT is a 30. I have been the editor of the yearbook since sophomore year, the youngest our school has ever had. I am also an Admissions Ambassador and I am on the Board of Athletics for Shady Side Academy. I am a member of the German Club where I have been a keynote speaker at the Goethe Institute German Environmental Conference in Chicago last summer as well as having my new recycling rules flyer published in the Oakmont Borough website. In my free time, I volunteer by tutoring students in mathematics and I created my own service project in which I couponed for femine care products and donated them to a local women's shelter. I was able to donate over $4000 worth of products while only paying $1000 for them.
