Kimberley Polk '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kimberley Polk. I am a senior (class of 2021) at York Prep High School in Rock Hill, SC. At the age of 5, I began playing soccer with the recreational leagues and continue to compete at both school and club team league levels. As an 8^th grader, I earned a spot on the varsity team at York Prep High School as a starting goalkeeper and Varsity letter winner. This was very exciting for me. As a freshman, I was named team captain and received the 2019 York Prep Varsity Girls Soccer Coaches Award. It is my desire to continue my soccer career in college, because soccer has been a huge part of my life for the past 11 years. After years of playing soccer, I have learned the importance of teamwork and a positive attitude on and off the field.  I have become more confident as a student and an athlete in school. I have been playing travel soccer since I was 12 years old. I play and train year-round, attend training and ID camps, as well as strength and conditioning sessions to improve my skill set.

Although soccer is one of my top priorities, school is also very important to me. I have been an honor roll student since elementary school and currently hold a 3.8 GPA. My desire is to continue my education at a college or university that will challenge me both academically and athletically. I am a leader, as well as a good team player, striving not only to be the best athlete I can be, but also the best version of me. I am very serious about soccer and challenging myself and others to be the same. I believe if you are respectful, hardworking and disciplined on the soccer field then your goals become a reality both on and off the field.
