- Villarreal chose people from all around the country, even one person from Canada for the Villarreal U17 National Team. I was one of those people, the majority of us had never played togetherexcepy if we came from the same team. It was an amazing experience, we got to not only watch but play against some of the best U17 players in Spain. So many of the experiences were awakening to me because we had to adjust to their style of play, it made me learn so many things. Coach Carlos, talked us through the different positioning he wanted us to have, making us more of a defensive team but still with a really good offense. The team they chose to make became a family, we all were close and had so much trust in everyone's abilities. Since this tournament ended I, along with the four other North Texas girls who were chosen with me have brought back that style of play to our team. We have taught them some of the things we saw but still have a lot to show and tell for it.
