Sofia Faro '23 Recruiting Profile

I am an enthusiastic and outgoing student-athlete.  My team looks to me as a leader on and off the field.  I currently play for my High School JV team and train with a personal Goalie Coach.  I also participate in a club team to keep my skills sharp on the field.  I was just selected to play for an ECRL team for the upcoming year.  I have played soccer since I was 4 years old and have played in multiple positions on the field in various types of soccer including indoor, outdoor, futsal,  and  6 v 6.  My favorite position of course is Goalkeeper.

Outside of the field, I participate in Girl Scouts and volunteer in my local community.  I'm currently participating in the Rotary Youth Leadership Program, have earned the Girl Scout Silver Award, and volunteer at my church as a youth counselor during summer camps.  I have also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity locally and globally in Honduras, the food pantry, the homeless shelter, and participate in the trash clean up program.

I enjoy school and look forward to furthering my education in a science-related field such as marine biology, entomology, animal science, or forensics.

This summer I just returned from a BSA venture crew sailing in the Bahamas.  I love marine life and am a certified scuba diver.

My personality is friendly and I try to bring a smile to the face of everyone I meet.
