Personal Statement

Hi, my name is Emma Jeffiers and I am an Athletic, Shot Stopping, & Vocal Goalkeeper for Renegades Soccer Club U19 Girls Academy in North Texas. I have grown up a multi-sport Athlete having played soccer since I was three, as well as playing both Basketball & Softball at a club levels. While I enjoyed playing basketball and softball, my love has always been Soccer. On the field, I have strong Anticipation, Decision Making,  Field Vision, and Distribution skills. My Strengths are my ability to Communicate, Command the Box, Organize our Defense, be a Shot Stopper, Playing-in Crosses, and starting our Attack. I am calm and confident in the box, which allows our backline to be aggressive, attack, and make plays for us. Off the field, I work just as hard on my academics. I am currently taking College Level courses in Language Arts, Algebra, Science, & History, with a 4.8 weighted GPA. I want to study Education and be an Elementary Teacher. My Mom was a teacher and I learned at an early age the responsibility I have as both a student and as an athlete. In addition to my Mom being a teacher, my family is full of Athletes- my Mom & Dad were Basketball players, my older Brother was a Basketball and Soccer player and is now a Math Teacher and Basketball/Football coach, and my older Sister is currently a College Athlete playing College Softball and finishing her Nursing Degree. There is no shortage of strong work ethics & competitiveness in our home. I look forward to attending a College or University where I am challenged both Athletically and Academically.

Held every spring during Easter Week, the invitation-only Dallas Cup selects the best teams out of the hundreds of qualified applications the tournament receives each year. Although there have been several iterations over the years to the format, Dallas Cup is currently comprised of nine age groups in the Boys category from U-12 through U-19, including the prestigious U-19 Gordon Jago Super Group, and four age groups in the Girls category from U-15 through U-19. The tournament traditionally consists of approximately 40% international teams, 40% state-side teams and 20% Dallas area teams. Each year more than 100,000 spectators watch teams from all over the world participating in intense games where only the best return home with the Dallas Cup Champion’s prize, the coveted Boot and Ball trophy.

Mirroring Sting’s tradition of excellence, Texas Cup provides more than just great venues, facilities, and referees; it provides the best in hospitality, recognition and of course, competition. THE TOURNAMENT IS OPEN TO BOTH BOYS AND GIRLS. We are continually committed to providing an exceptional tournament atmosphere where teams compete to win some great awards, and showcase age groups compete to gain valuable recognition from college coaches across the country. Our goal is to provide a first class and memorable experience for players, coaches, and families from around the country. Last Texas Cup, we hosted over 250 teams for the tournament. We expect to add even more this year and have over 100 collegiate coaches and representatives from colleges from all over the United States who will evaluate talent and scout players. To accommodate such a huge turnout, our tournament is hosted at three different locations, Russell Creek Soccer Complex, Carpenter, and the PIT Plano. Texas Cup would not achieve the success that it enjoys without the dedication and tireless support of so many individuals. The Sting Soccer family has over 250 committed volunteers that work throughout the Thanksgiving weekend to make sure that the tournament runs smoothly. We appreciate and acknowledge all the volunteers that have given so much time and effort for this event. The Sting Soccer Group thanks you for choosing to spend your holiday weekend with us at Texas Cup! Brent Coralli CEO/ Principal Sting Soccer Group
