Elin Sims '28 Recruiting Profile

My name is Elin Sims, and I have been playing soccer since I was 3 years old. In my earlier years I started off playing recreational soccer. I currently play club soccer for Northern Virginia Soccer Club (NVSC), as a forward. I primarily play striker, but I play winger and attacking midfielder as well.

I began playing club soccer for NVSC at the age of 11. My current soccer team plays in the National Capital Soccer League at the division 1 level. During my time playing club soccer I have learned many things, including, how to work in a cohesive group, how to play with intent and aggression, and understanding that you always play your hardest no matter the circumstances. The lessons I learned have allowed me to become a better person, teammate, and athlete.

I am a 9th grader and currently attend Forest Park High School. I am a very good student and take advanced classes in all core subjects. Additionally, I am enrolled in a specialty IT program at Forest Park, where my focus is on graphic design. I am a well managed and self disciplined individual, having maintained a 4.1 GPA so far during my high school career after receiving all A’s throughout middle school.

My ultimate goal is to play soccer in college. To meet that goal I plan to continue working hard in my classes to maintain a high GPA and to continue improving my soccer IQ and technical skills. This will best position me to compete at a school of my choice as a student athlete in a competitive soccer program.
