Dedicated and hard working, my work ethic, focus, and discipline set me apart both on and off the field. Every morning, I am up before the sun, running and working out. Every night, I close my textbooks long after everyone else is asleep. These things I do, not only for soccer and the grades, but for my own physical and mental fitness and goals.
I aim to be more than just fit for soccer, but strong and ready for whatever other obstacles come my way. For this reason, along with conditioning for soccer, I do my own weight and agility training. I’ve gained experience everywhere on the field, from goalkeeper to forward. However, I currently specialize in the defensive positions: center back, outside back, and holding mid, my core position being center back. In these positions, I am a starter for 3 separate teams: Northwest United G’08 (2020-present), Elite Player Development (2023-present), and the Anacortes High School Varsity team (2022-present).
Academically, I constantly strive to be an exceptional student. I am ranked at the top of my class and am the sophomore class Vice President. My goal is continue serving in student government throughout high school. Additionally, I take a number of advanced, AP and honors classes at the same time as exercising my membership in the Future Business Leaders of America and the National Society of High School Scholars. It’s said that she who enjoys the journey will go further than she who values the destination. I do what I do because I value hard work and I enjoy the grind and competition within these settings. I know that nothing is given freely; I have to earn it.
With this in mind, I have dedicated the past 13 years to soccer, the last 9 of which have been in competitive clubs. That being said, I aspire to play for a high level collegiate soccer team where I can develop all aspects of my play on and off the field. In addition to these goals, I aim to attend a highly competitive academic program where I can gain the most out of my education on my journey to a successful career in either the business or medical field. However, regardless of the university I attend, rest assured that I am committed to pushing myself in all aspects of my life no matter what.
