Personal Statement

I play Forward/Outside Defender and am a starter for the Eastside Football Club (USYS National League / Regional Club League). I also played for the nationally ranked Issaquah High School women's soccer team as an Outside Defender. I am a  at Issaquah and have a 3.5 GPA.

Since I can remember, I’ve had a soccer ball at my feet. My love of soccer began when my mom signed me up for U5 rec in 2005. I’ve played every season since - moving to Club/Premiere in 2010 and starting my HS career at Issaquah in the fall of 2015. My Sophomore year at Issaquah, I played as a Defender for the first time.

I see soccer as always being a dominate part of my life, in some form, and am looking forward to continuing my playing with a college soccer team where I can excel and strive as an individual and contribute my skills as a teammate.

I’ve always been focused while on the field. Not only do I work hard and try my best in all my games, but also practices. I enjoy discovering new ways to improve my skills, listen well when instructed, and like trying new strategies or plays. I strive to maintain good sportsmanship, a positive attitude, support my team, and be a leader.

This attitude naturally extends to my education. My love of soccer and sports in general has nurtured my desire to have a career in sports medicine. Issaquah High School’s Sports Medicine Program has won the AACI National Championship the last five years, and I achieved my goal to join the program as one of a handful of eligible Sophomore last year. I also stared attending college courses this Fall at Bellevue College through the Wa State Running Start program. These opportunities will give me an advantage in being accepted to a college with a strong medical/sports medicine department. My dream is to play as long as I can and then use my education to work with a soccer club, college, or professional team and give back to the community that has helped me in my successes.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
