Gladys Sclafani '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Gladys Sclafani class of 2024 

I am a determined, hardworking soccer player who leads by example, and I'm looking to take soccer to the next level, playing in college. I love the sport with a passion and have been playing for as long as I can remember.

For the last 5 years I've been playing club soccer with the OL Reign Academy. I currently swing between the 05/06 GA team & the 05/06 reserves team & I'm also on the 06 Surf Academy team. I’ve been playing at the highest Premier level for many years and I also play on the varsity team at Roosevelt High School [which were 3A Washington state champions this year & 2nd in the state last year]. 

What sets me apart from other players is my positive attitude and dedication on and off the field. I am a reliable and versatile player who rarely misses a practice or game. I’m fast and able to play multiple positions while being comfortable shooting, dribbling, passing and crossing the ball from both sides of the field. I bring a lot of leadership to a team having been a captain on almost all the teams I've played for and I'm a great communicator as well. 

My dedication to soccer also translates into my academics, being a student athlete requires not only dedication but also discipline and organization. I've always been strong academically & currently have a 3.6 GPA while taking a number of advance placement courses. 

My goal is to go to a college with strong, supportive, encouraging, competitive soccer program that will help me continue to grow as an athlete, student, and individual.
