Personal Statement

I started playing soccer in 5th grade, positioned as a forward. Being a lefty, a majority of the start of my soccer journey, I was placed mainly on the left side of the field. By freshman year, my coach (Tina Frimpong- Ellertson)  placed me as left wing, because of my speed, endurance, and ability to see the field and make good passes. Slowly, she placed me in many different positions: left back, attacking mid, right wing, and defensive mid. She had confidence that I could be a strong team player, in any position, on either side of the field. After placing 2nd in state junior year and losing 9 seniors, 2019 was a rebuilding year for the team. I was honored to voted captain my senior year, and help lead the team, athletically and vocally, from center back.
