I have many goals regarding my college education and soccer. I intend to pursue earning a degree in pre-med, exercise science, kinesiology, nursing, or other science-related fields in preparation for a future career hopefully in the medical field. In terms of my soccer-related goals and aspirations, I hope to have the opportunity to continue playing the sport I love and compete at a high level. I would like to further develop my soccer and leadership skills as well. It is a priority for me to play competitively and give my best alongside others who are equally dedicated and committed to each other and our school. I believe that my educational and soccer-related goals complement each other, and I will develop the most as a person and professional by engaging in both activities to the best of my ability.
I would be a good candidate for a college soccer team because I have a diverse skill set. Two of my more notable strengths are my speed and my ability to play multiple positions. I am a good play-maker and am creative on and off the ball. I like to look for the open pass but also when situationally appropriate take on defenders one vs one to create other opportunities on the field.
I am different from other recruits in my character, athleticism, and academic performance. Character is very important to me. I try to bring positivity, integrity, and honesty to all of my endeavors that I pursue. I think that team morale and chemistry are key components to the success of a team. I will always try to encourage my teammates and pick them up when they are down. I want to be someone that my teammates feel is apporachable and considerate of them while also always trying to push them to be their best. I juggle many activities in my life at the same time such as being a student, playing soccer, being a basketball team manager, and tutoring; therefore, I have acquired skills regarding time managment that help me in various areas of my life. Advocacy is also an ability that I posess and practice. Equality for women in sports is something that is very important for me which is why I took on the role as an executive board member of the club Amplify representing my high school soccer team. The goal of this club is to help gain more support and draw more attention to high school female sports which I believe is very important. I push myself everyday whether it be in practice, school, or other endevours in my life. I always give 100% effort both on and off the field and continue to practice and work on my skills without being reminded to do so. Additionally, I am different from other recruits through my excellent academic performance. I have earned all A's and have a current grade point average of 4.063 and have a class rank of 22 out of 418 students. More importantly than grades and class rank to me is that I have put the time and effort into mastering concepts that I had trouble understanding at first. I am always willing to listen to feedback and use that to become a better student and athlete. I am a well-rounded student and have enjoyed and performed well in reading, writing, Spanish, science, math, gym, and many other courses.
In summary, I am a well-rounded student-athlete who can bring leadership, athleticism, drive, sportsmanship, and an infectious positive energy to my team. I believe I can uses these characteristics to help any team reach our goals and fulfill our greatest potential.
