Sydney Hayes '24 Recruiting Profile

I've been playing soccer for as long as I can remember and have always dreamed of playing at the college level. As I progress through high school, I have realized how quickly the soccer seasons have passed by, and I can't imagine my career ending upon high school graduation.

I've been fortunate to play on a successful high school team. In fact, as a starting midfielder during my freshman season, I helped my team bring home a conference title for the first time in 20 years. I am a versatile player and, as a result, I was switched from midfield to forward during my sophomore season to fill a vacancy for an injured player. This season alone I played all three attacking midfield positions, striker, and wing forward. My coaches have always been impressed with my high level of soccer IQ, work ethic, and leadership skills on and off the field. 

My work ethic is also evident in the classroom where I have maintained a 4.0 GPA while taking accelerated and/or AP level classes. I am also involved in a variety of clubs and activities including: Student Council, Principal's Student Advisory Council, DECA, Letterwinners Club, Link Crew, South Wood County Teen Leadership Program, and I coach a youth team through my club. 

My goal is to attend a college that suits me well both academically and athletically.
