What makes me different from other recruits is that I got off to a late start and didn't start swimming competitively until I was 10 years old. I knew I had a lot of catching up to do compared to my teammates and I set goals for myself. These goals were my motivation to get better even though it wasn't easy. I'm hardworking and dedicate a lot of time and thought into swim. Being able to swim in college makes me proud to know that my goal since I was 10 years old has become a reality.
In college I'm looking for an academic program that will challenge me in the field that interests me most. I work best with people that share a positive attitude, are passionate about the path they've chosen, and have determination to succeed in life. Academics have always been important to me and they come before sports. With saying that, I believe I can maintain my academics while swimming in college and have fun while doing it all.
