Natalie Armstrong '24 Recruiting Profile

 Hi my name is Natalie Armstrong.  I am currently a junior at Tanque Verde High School.  I began swimming at age 6 as a summer league swimmer.  I have been swimming on a club team since the age of 9.   Currently I train with the SWAS club team in Tucson, AZ.  During summers I am employed by my club team as a lifeguard and as an assistant coach.  As an assistant coach I am responsible for teaching basic swim skills to the 3-6 year old age group, as well as introducing them to all of the swim strokes.  This summer employment has taught me a new level of patience and leadership skills, that I use both in the classroom as well as on the pool deck.  In the fall, I swim for both the Tanque Verde High School Hawks, as well as the SWAS club team.  I have been on the high school varsity swim team since I was a freshman.  

Academically, I am on the honor role at Tanque Verde High School with a current GPA of 4.2 and have recently been accepted into the National Honor Society.  As a sophomore I took my first AP class.  As a junior I am taking 5 AP classes.  My academic schedule is rigorous, but I thrive in a challenging environment.  

As a swimmer, I enjoy the camaraderie of team swimming.  I have a great work ethic, excellent time management skills, and the technical skills that would make me a positive addition to a collegiate swim team.  Although I swim all of the strokes, I believe I could contribute most to a college swim program with sprint freestyle.  If I had my choice, all swim meets would consist only of relays.  They are the most fun.
