I have been swimming for 10 years, and have never questioned swimming at a collegiate level; it has always been something I knew I would do. Swimming in college is a once in a lifetime opportunity that I wish to partake in.
I am a very competitive swimmer, and I have the technique and times that will help me succeed at any collegiate level. I am a team leader that not only leads by example, but also encourages teammates to push themselves too. I will always strive to do my very best in whatever set, practice, race or relay I am doing.
In, and out of, the classroom I study hard and maintain a very high GPA. I also volunteer in many projects with my local Key Club, mentor a little girl through a teen mentoring program called PALS (similar to the Big Brother/ Big Sister programs), am a member of National Honor Society, and have been the editor of my school’s newspaper since my sophomore year.
I aspire to attend a college where I can push myself not only in the classroom, but also every day in the pool.
