Lily Esmas '23 Recruiting Profile

I started swimming with my neighborhood team at the age of 6 and joined a competitive team at 12, however since Junior year I became dedicated to the sport and in doing so I have strengthened my swimming career. I started my junior year high school swim season with a 100 back time of 1.02.11 and with only a couple months of applying myself and working on a positive state of mind I was able to get my best time at state (58.71) and ended the season as a 5A state champion. I cherish the atmosphere that being a swimmer has brought. Swimming has given me forever lasting relationships with like minded people who I admire. They push me to see myself in a positive light and to never doubt myself. I search for the same atmosphere in a collegiate swim team. I want to continue to associate myself with passionate people who are doing what they love and have an amazing energy behind it. I have gone through immense personal growth and maturity and plan on continuing and incline with this behavior in my athletic, personal, and academic carrier.
