Scout Lohrs '13 Recruiting Profile

I have been swimming competitively since I was eight years old. I swam USS/USA up until 2010 when I had to stop due to circumstances out of my control. However, I was able to continue swimming for my high school. I was one of three varsity swimmers on my team as a freshman (the other two were seniors) My school does not have a pool, so I had to drive to another school for practice. My sophomore year until this year, I was (am) captain of my team which consists of me. I still practice every day in another pool about 20 minutes away. Since I am the only girl on my team, I am considered to swim on a sub-team. My "teammates" are very supportive and great friends even though I sometimes take points away from them. It has been fun and challenging at the same time. I am looking forward to college and hope to swm while learning and maturing in a fun,and exciting environment. As of now, Im leaning towards environmental studies while at college.
