Personal Statement
I have always been passionate about swimming. After trying different sports when I was young, I quickly realized it was swimming that I enjoyed the most. It felt more challenging, but it taught me the more effort you put into something, the better results you can achieve. As I became more involved - joining a swim team and competing year-round - swimming also taught me to make sure I managed my time effectively, whether it's schoolwork or employment. As such, I have maintained a 3.9 GPA and teach swim lessons and lifeguard.
My goal is to swim in college while I pursue my degree. My best strokes are the butterfly and freestyle. I know that given the opportunity, I can be a valuable asset to a college program.
