Personal Statement
I have been swimming since I was seven and competing in triathlons since I was ten. I aspire to compete competitively in triathlon and/or swimming at a collegiate level where I can continue to grow my athletic passion and earn a top notch education.
I am often told that I am very coachable. I am always open to learning and making adjustments to improve. I pay attention to the details, ever striving to be better. I demonstrate quiet leadership through hard work and dedication, and lead by example. I enjoy being part of teams that want to get the work done, enjoy doing the work and feel proud of putting in the effort that it takes to succeed.
I maintain a high GPA, take very challenging courses, and excelling in the classroom as well as in athletics is extremely important to me. I have learned that having both areas of focus in my life enable me to be a better student, athlete, and person.
I aspire to attend a college where I can continue to fuel my academic and athletic passion competing at the highest levels. I welcome the opportunity to explore all options to achieve my goals and enable to me to contribute to collegiate team successes.
