Swimming has been such a influential stage from when I first decided that this was something I wanted to do. I am currently into my junior year of high school. My coach always reminded me that "You only receive what you put in" and that really helped me to direct my focus into the important aspects.
I am taking small steps to help get me where I need to be. In the pool, out the pool, and in the weight room, I will always reassure myself that everything counts. This is where I need to be. I want to reach my goals for myself and my desire to go after them is strong. I always remind myself that "Pain is just weakness leaving the body". I know that this is something I want to do. I have my vision before me and now its up to the work I do to achieve them. Finding a coach that pushes me beyond what I think I am capable of is a major principal. Getting to know who I am is also vital, because if the base is strong then performance will be successful. Working on my strengths and weakness is significant for me, because I get to better myself. I learned to surround myself with positive, exciting energy that makes you remember why we are doing this and have the will to invest your time in this.
Swimming is important to me, but so are academics. Getting a great education is necessary for me. I am leaning towards the medical field in doctoring.
