My name is Savannah Gates and I swim for the Tule Nation Tritons (TNT) swim club in California. My graduation year is 2025 and I hold a 4.0 GPA. I have swam and coached in the local recreational league since I was eight years old. I’ve always loved swim, but it wasn’t until late in 2022 when I began competing in club swim that I realized I had what it takes to swim at the collegiate level. Much of this self-realization is due to my coach who has encouraged me to set goals and continues to give me the tools to accomplish them. I continue to make drastic improvements to the times of all my strokes and I am excited to see that I am consistently meeting and exceeding my goals. Because I have just begun with this level of intensity of training, I feel like I am just getting started and have a lot more to give to my college coaches and team. Lastly, I am a woman of strong faith which has served to shape my character, work ethic and attitude and I firmly believe that I will be an asset to my coaches, teammates and school should they give me a chance to compete for them.
