Brooke Calvin '15 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Brooke, and I am a senior at Bloomington North High School in Bloomington, Indiana.  I have been swimming competitively for the past six years and have enjoyed every moment of it!  I began the sport with annual swim lessons at a local pool and shortly thereafter, joined an area swim team.  This led to state berths a little more than a year later.  Swimming has become a part of me, and I seek the opportunity to continue my swimming career in college. Every year since I have started swimming, I have competed at the Indiana State Championships. Additionally, I have competed in the Central Zone Championships and Mid-States Quad. Along with my passion for swimming, education is something I value.

I have been an Honor Roll student for the past three years in high school and have earned recognition for being a part of both the National Honor Society and National Latin Honor Society.  One of my academic goals in college includes continuing to maintain a GPA of 3.8 or better.  It has also been essential to my high school experience to be involved with school clubs, community service, and other extra-curricular activities. I plan to continue expanding those experiences into college. While education is a priority, God and my family also have important places in my life.  I like to live my life with engagement, gratitude, authenticity, and happiness.  I look forward to facing and overcoming more challenges from this remarkable sport, and seek to be a contributing member of a collegiate swim team.
