Macee Reckard '22 Recruiting Profile

My love for swimming started at a very young age.  The minute I taught myself to dive into the water was the minute I fell in love with the sport.  I have been swimming since age 6.  Over the years, my stamina and strokes have improved drastically.  Even when faced with the challenge of having 3 different coaches in the past 5 years, my times have continued to improve. Over these past 10 years of swimming, my desire to swim in college has grown strong, and I am willing to do what it takes to achieve this goal. 

I am a hard worker with a goal-oriented mindset.  I set goals and go for them.  If I do not achieve them, I re-evaluate and go after them again and again until I reach them. Having a determined mindset, to me, is one of the most crucial aspects a swimmer needs. Along with my determination, my positive attitude and leadership skills have led me to be the swimmer I am. Going to practice and competitions with positive mindsets leads not only myself, but my teammates to great outcomes in the water.  I am interested in any programs that are going to push me athletically and academically. Qualities such as determination, hard-work, and open-mindedness, have not only helped me in the pool but also in the classroom.
