My name is Kellan and I have been competitively swimming since I was three. From swim lessons, to summer swim, to club and school swim, swimming has been in my life for as long as I can remember. I am very passionate about my athletics and academics, and I hope to continue my growth in both. I work very hard and always do my best in everything. I don’t give up when things get tough and I always look forward to my next time in the water. One thing I love about swimming is how you have to rely on not only yourself, but your teammates as well.
I still remember the day when I went to see my sister at swim lessons and I knew that was what I wanted to do. Even though I wasn’t the best swimmer at first, I worked hard and did not let anything get in the way. I have worked very hard to get to where I am today. Even in one of the hardest parts of my life, during Covid, I continued to work hard and push myself to be better because I could not wait to be back with my teammates in the water. I know I will continue to get better physically and mentally throughout my swimming and school season, and I hope to continue my growth in college.
