Liv Hettinger '22 Recruiting Profile

I am 6’0” and a backstroker and freestyler from West Fargo, ND. I have been swimming for 9 years and will graduate in 2022. I have swam varsity for West Fargo High School for 5 seasons and last fall season earned a spot on the all-conference team and first team all-state. I am currently in my junior year of high school and have a 4.5 GPA. 

I love competing and that is why I have clear goals going into my next high school and club seasons after winning the state title in the 100 back at the high school championship meet in 2019 and 2020. I am also fortunate to be part of a great relay for my high school team that that has won and our conference meet twice and won state in 2019 in the 200 medley relay. I am part of a small high school team, and a large club team, because of this I have learned to be a leader in both places and I think that I will only get better as my teams grow. I love getting to know all the younger and older kids together on the club team to do cheers and coach  the younger kids.

Academics just as important as athletics, although, as of right now I am undecided as to what I would like to study. I am very open-minded about where I would like to go to school and I would like to explore somewhere new! I want to be somewhere that I can continue to work hard, improve, have fun, and be a contribution to my team.
