Addison Pruce '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi! My name is Addy Pruce! I have been swimming competitively since I was 7 years old and cannot imagine my life without it. Swimming has taught me so many life lessons and has also brought me some of my best friends and memories. As I think about my future, I can't wait to continue my swimming career at the collegiate level.  

In the pool, I strive to be the best swimmer that I can be by testing my limits every chance I can get. I swim year-round, participating on my high school and club team. I am very coachable and accept every opportunity to improve. My teammates have also had a huge impact on my swimming experiences. As a teammate, I believe my job is to lead by example and support my teammates in everything they do. 

Leading by example is also something that I put a lot of effort into for younger swimmers. When I was young I always looked up to older teammates and dreamed of becoming as good as them. Providing the same inspiration for the younger swimmers on my team is very important to me. So, I am currently an assistant coach at a nearby summer club and take part in my club's apparel and events committee. They are such rewarding jobs, and I love to see that my efforts help the younger generations to enjoy swimming.

Outside of swimming, I am very involved in my community and school. I work very hard to maintain straight A's and a high GPA. I am also involved in my school's Red Key program which helps incoming students with the admissions process and tours of the school. Additionally, I am a member of the Marine Conservation Club and go on outings a few times a year to help rid our beaches of pollution. 

Despite a busy schedule, I have always prioritized time management in order to balance my schedule and be successful.  I am hoping to attend a college that will push me in my academics and athletics as well as prepare me for the future. I am so excited to make my family and peers proud and start another chapter of my life!
