I started swimming when I was 10. My friend got me interested in swimming when she wanted me to join a summer swim team.
From swimming I have learned that I am a very competitive person. I will do whatever it takes to succeed and get where I want to be in my swimming career.I am always asked what defined me as a person and for the longest time I didn’t know how to answer and I finally figured out that it was right in front of me the whole time. The answer was swim. Swim makes me who I am today. Swimming has taught me to be responsible, driven,a problem solver, competitive and a good teammate. Its reinforced the importance of a strong work ethic but it’s also taught me to be humble and that you have to work hard for what you want. I’ve always gone by this saying “hard work will always out work talent” so I’ve always tried to race against the clock, against myself to try to better my future and achieve my goals.
Academics are a big part of my life. I would like to make the honor roll in all 4 years of high school but also to get A’s and B’s throughout all of college.
