My sporting dream scenario is to continue my soccer career at a college that meets my academic requirements, furthers my future professional goals, and will help to shape me into an effective leader for the future as well as the present. The main requirement in this next step after high school graduation is a strong STEM curriculum, the focus of my studies and future interests. At the same time, I have been playing soccer since I was 3 years old and competitively since I was 7. I love the sport and it would be amazing to play at the college level of soccer, and potentially even beyond.
I am a midfielder and winger for the Elite Team at my SP Soccer Academy club and forward as a Sophomore for my high school varsity team. I work hard year round during club, high school, and offseason and personal training. I take pride in being a leader by example, proving encouragement when being faced with challenges, or on the field direction to teammates. While I have always soaked up as much knowledge about the game, I am still an eager learner and value critique from fellow coaches and colleagues to improve my game and become better. Along with this, my on field strengths are game IQ, situational awareness, passing, mental toughness and having a dedicated and high work rate on and off the field.
Most importantly I have fun playing soccer, as well as sport. Over the past couple of years I have been playing pick-up and league basketball as well as community pick-up soccer. To share the fun of the sports with others, I also volunteer with developmentally challenged youth in the GO Soccer Programs.
I attend Granville High School - a demanding and top rated school in Ohio. During school I challenge myself with the most advanced classes possible and always turn in work on time. I am an easy learner and strong listener good at following directions and staying organized. After the freshmen year I have a 3.64 GPA and have been on honor roll every quarter and so far have been inducted into Société Honoraire de Français. I also volunteer at various organizations that assist disadvantaged local youth, food pantries or schools.
I look forward to continuing to be the best version of myself and keep improving my academic and athletic ability everyday at the college that will help me accomplish this.
