I have never clicked as much with as a sport as I did with swimming. From my very first swim team practice until now, I have grown so much with the sport. Swimming has taught me much more than just the “perfect” stroke technique. It has taught me to be persevering, accountable, responsible, dedicated, humble, and kind. I have made progress with the sport over the years, but there is still much more to be made. In order to do this, I need to further my experience with the sport. My goal is to find a coach/university who are willing to put as much time into my success as I am, who are as dedicated to swimming as I am, who will treat me with the kind of respect and maturity that I will give them, and who will help me flourish. I need a second family; a home away from home. I am a team player and a supportive friend to those who let me. These attributes are also evident in my academics. I do not want to be an average student, or hold the required minimum standards. I put out as much effort and excellence in my education and community as I do swimming. I work incredibly hard both inside the pool and out to be able to call myself a student athlete. I will continue to push myself past the limits to reach the standard I set for myself.
