Personal Statement
I have been swimming for as long as I can remember. I took lessons when I was younger and joined my first RIMA swim team when I was just six years old. When I was twelve, I was eager for more competition so I joined my first USA club team and fell in love. I was one of five freshman to obtain a varsity letter, and also swim in the Division 1 and State Championships. I am also very focused on my academics at LaSalle Academy where I take both Honors and AP classes. I am also involved in my schools band program, where I play the flute and have been in Wind Ensemble, an advanced band, since my sophomore year. On top of doing my best in school and swimming as much as I can year round, I also play softball on an Elite travel team as well as for high school, where I obtained a varsity letter my sophomore year. I believe once I focus all of my energy on one sport, I will have a greater drop in times than most swimmers would. As a focused and passionate student and athlete, I can offer good grades to enhance your teams GPA, and fast times which I intend to make all that much faster. I have a strong character, one that you can be proud of to represent your school in and out of uniform.
