As I am entering my senior year, my goals and plans my athletic and academic life have not changed. But my mindset has, through my 3 years of high school I am now at the highest mental stability I have ever felt. I know how much potential I have, and I am going to exceed my expectations past the level of average.
I started swimming at age 5, I swam for a summer league team called the Seabrook Stingrays in Houston, Texas. While swimming for 6 weeks out of the year I broke many summer league records that are still not broken to this day. As I grew as an athlete, my family decided to put me into club swimming. I began swimming with the Houston Cougars under Bob Tweeties coaching, while swimming for this club team I learned about lifelong friendships, hard word and staying humble. I have multiple long course records on that team as well that I still hold to this day. Once I decided that I needed to grow within another team I joined the South Shore Sails, still located in Houston Texas. During my time on this team I had learned to keep working hard and that hard work pays off, I began to flourish as an all around swimmer and working on my speed within all 4 strokes. We had decided in early 2021 to move to Cincinnati, Ohio where a lot of my family and family friends live. I joined the Mason Manta Rays, in Mason Ohio. This team is where my dedication had started to show and truly pay off, to this day some of my best times came from this program. In 2022 I was a freshman, during my freshman year at Harrison High School I broke 9 school records that had not been broken from 16-20 years, I was a sectional champion in the 50 freestyle and the only individual qualifier for districts. I fell short of state my freshman year but was still happy with my results. After my freshman season I joined the Cincinnati Marlins, this program made me feel recognized and made me fall in love with swimming even more. My success was really being recognized all throughout Cincinnati. My sophomore year flew fast, and I had made a huge decision to not compete in championships due to me wanting to really take the opportunity with my family to move to Greenville South Carolina and swim for Team Greenville. In March 2023 I moved to Greenville, swimming for Coach Karl Kozicki he is an amazing coach but for the time being I needed to take a break from the sport to really find myself as a person and grow mentally. I took the summer of 2023 off of swimming completely, and came back and swam high school. During my 2023 high school season I made state in 4 events and broke 1 school record. January 1st 2024 I made the decision to keep pursuing swimming and I am now back on Team Greenville, and I am so happy and grateful to be where I am.
During my recruitment I want to commit to a school that I consider home, and family. I know how much as a person and athlete I bring to the table, I am extremely hard working and goal driven with a big personality. So, I want to be apart of a program that considers the same goals and wants as I do. I want to win college championships and individual titles. I want to be Olympic big.
