2023 HighlightsPersonal Statement
I have been swimming since I was 5 years old. Since I first started swimming I have wanted to go Division 1 and go to the Olympics. I know that both of these are one in a lifetime opportunities and are hard to achieve.
I have strong technique as well as leadership skills. I am a team leader and was a part of Swim Strong drylands leadership program. I love to lead by example as well as encouraging my teammates. I am a very coachable athlete and love to help my coaches on the pool deck. I strive to be a hardworking positive athlete on and off the pool deck.
I swim year round for Nitro as well as for my high school, St. Andrews. I am currently lifting with a strength and conditioning coach at my school as well as attending drylands for Nitro. As a freshman, on my high school team, I was a part of a winning relay team and placed 4th in the 200 IM, then as a sophomore I placed 3rd in the 200 free.
In the classroom, I push myself to maintain my high GPA. I am a part of the athletic council, a founder of the Women in Sports club, and in the sustainability council. I was invited to an engineering camp and am a part of the National Society of High School Scholars.
