Aerin Carstensen '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello!  My name is Aerin Carstensen and I am a member of the Class of 2026 with straight-A's (all Honors/Advanced, AP and DE classes) at Stratford High School in Houston, TX.   I have updated my profile to reflect an accelerated graduation date; previously May 2027.  I will be graduating 1 year early with Academic Distinction from the State of Texas and with Honors from my High School.  I have been swimming since I was three years old, and I am now in my 4th year of competitive swim with Dad’s Club Aquatics.   Prior to Dad’s Club, I swam for three years with a non-competition club working solely on technique and had a blast participating in summer swim league.  Being in the water is a meditative experience for me and being a swimmer is the core of my physical and mental strengths combined.  I am grateful that I have the opportunity to do this every day.  I understand that not every performance is perfect but I love to challenge myself with every swim.  I have a strong work ethic and am self-disciplined when it comes to personal nutrition and time management skills that organize my daily routine with swim training, studying, sleep and work schedules.   I feel most comfortable having a family-style camaraderie with my teammates and Coach(es), who are honest and supportive while encouraging team resilience.  My goal as a future collegiate student-athlete will be to make impactful contributions for my team and school all while maintaining excellent grades, enjoying my college experience and earning a degree in business and finance.
