My mom tried all the girly extracurricular activities with me as a young child, dance and the like thereof, nothing was sticky until she finally put me on a summer swim rec team, from then on I have been stuck in the water! My passion for swim has grown over the last 8 years tremendously and continues to grow today. Swim has become so ingrained into my daily life that I can hardly stand a day without pool time.
All my coaches have always known me to be among the most dedicated and hardest workers. In my soul I feel you give it all or you do not do it all, so each day I get in the water and each time I compete I give my all and it shows. I am very self motivated and have an internal competitive drive. The process of training for competitive reasons is something I am grateful to naturally gravitate towards and fully immerse myself in.
I am easy to get along with and have worked well with a variety of coaches and contributed to each team I have been on. I am a good motivator and leader to those I swim and compete with and practice good sportsmanship in and out of the water.
Each season begins with personal goals that will lead to my ultimate goal to compete at a collegiate level and progress through collegiate training with success. I know my potential is great in the short term and long term and I intend to keep my sites on great potential surrounded by a great program and good coaches so I can then realize my goals.
I excel academically as well and have goals to work in the medical field outside of my athletic aspirations. I am one of six kids being raised by two amazing people who sacrifice everything so that we can realize our dreams. We support one another and function as a unit to make it happen for all of us and have built personal characteristics unique to a special family as we all circle around my disabled sister and learn and grow from her.
I am looking forward to two my years of swimming at a high school level and progressing athletically and academically as I mature and prepare for college.
