Addison Lundt '26 Recruiting Profile

Coming from a small town I have been challenged throughout my swim career. Many people have asked me why I still swim, or say things like, "Why don't you just quit. It would be easier." I haven't though, instead of quitting, I have become more determined to accomplish my goals. I am a strong swimmer that strives to be better each day. I bring a positive attitude to each practice, ensuring I push myself as hard as I can each practice. I am a strong sprinter making my main events and strokes be the 100 breaststroke, 50 free, and 100 fly. I started out swimming when I was 8 years old. From there I made my first state time at 10 years old. I always looked up to the older kids, wanting to be faster than them. I continued to push myself, eventually beating all the older kids. I found my passion for swimming and realized my competitive drive to be better each day. 

Out of the pool, I have started noticing how much dryland can affect my performance. Over the course of the last few years, I have competed in track. Running and focusing on my other strengths helped me become a better swimmer. My goal for this upcoming winter season is to start working as hard as I do in the pool, as in the gym. In school, I have incredible grades. I am currently taking advanced classes, in order to start taking AP classes next year. I am in many extracurriculars, including student council, Spanish club, SALT (Student Athlete Leadership Team), math league, sources of strength, Ski club, Fearless Females, and forensics. For me, as a competitive swimmer and student, I bring a dedicated mindset each day and work hard to accomplish my goals.
