Personal Statement

I love playing tennis and really enjoy the competition and dedication that goes along with it. To me, tennis is about commitment to excellence, work ethic, and perseverance. Both on and off the court, I have always been a hard working, enthusiastic team player who never gives up. I believe in setting an example with my attitude and effort, and whether it's on the NorCal zonals team, the Bay Club Courtside team, or the Saratoga High school tennis team, my teammates consider me a positive influence who brings enthusiasm, comedy, and support to the courts everyday. Furthermore, I am able to balance a rigorous academic schedule with my tennis practices, and am currently maintaining a 3.9/4.0 unweighted GPA while taking multiple Honors/AP courses. I also got a 1530 on the SAT, as well as 790 on Biology M and 780 on Mathematics Level 2 SAT subject tests. I look forward to finding a program with a balance of academic and athletic excellence that will continue my growth as a both a player and a person.
