My name is Ella Dalzell, and I am a 17 years old co-captain of the girls varsity tennis team at Saint Stephen's Episcopal School in Bradenton, FL. I have been a part of the varsity team since 7th grade and have played number two singles and number one doubles for three years in a row. My win-loss record from the last regular season was 14-2 in singles. I am a two time Florida State qualifier, three time District Champion, one time Regional Champion, and District Champion in both singles and doubles in 2022. I was awarded the Falcon Award (The player that represents what a Saint Stephen's student athlete should be on and off the court) in 9th and 10th grades, and the MVP award in 11th grade. In my junior year, I transitioned to a sports schedule to only take five core classes and leave at 12:40 to concentrate more on tennis. I also spent this Summer in France playing Women's open tournaments where my win loss record was 9-3.
My goal is to excel in college tennis and help a college team win a title. My tournament schedule for the up coming school year includes level 3s, 4s, and 5s in Florida, ITF Juniors, and UTR tournaments along with the high school tennis season. I have played internationally and am playing junior and high school tennis in the very competitive state of Florida. I consider myself to be an exemplary team player, leader, and recruit.
Academically I have almost completed all my core classes except for math and english this year. In my junior year I took three AP’s: AP English language and composition, AP environmental science, and AP US history. As well as Spanish honors 4 and advanced algebra two. I received all fours on my AP exams. My cumulative unweighted GPA is 3.84 and weighted is a 4.08. I am also the recipient of the Head of Schools award for three years in a row which is awarded to students with a weighted GPA over 4.0. My academic goal is to go to medical school.
