I have been playing tennis since I was 9 years old, I always thought of it as something extra in my life but in 6th grade, I realized how much the sport meant to me. Since then it's always been a dream of mine to play at the college level. I know the sacrifices and commitments to play college-level sports are a big and once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, but I'm ready to take risks and fight head-on for a chance to play college tennis.
I have a strong first-serve, strong down-the-line forehand, mental toughness, physical toughness, a willingness to learn, and a no-quitting mentality. I am a team player, I will always encourage my teammates to try their best and to never give up in a match. I love cheering my teammates on since I know how difficult a match can get; I'm a very enthusiastic person so you can always count on me to cheer and smile for others. I'm very coachable and assist my coaches anytime they need assistance for demoing a practice and I will always be first in line to help with practice. I have also coached toddlers and middle schoolers tennis in my High School and I enjoy teaching others a sport I'm so passionate about. I strive to be one of the hardest-working and best teammates I can be.
I work hard year-round on my tennis skills, participating in Bloomfield Tennis Club, USTA tournaments, UTR matches, High School Varsity tennis, High school cross country, and running on my own, which all help me improve my tennis game.
In the classroom, I'm one of the most hardworking people ever. I will always make sure I know exactly when a test is, when the homework is due, when the next quiz is, and when my participation is needed. These habits allow me to maintain my high GPA and be a strong test taker. I'm part of my high school's Honor Roll and the National Math Honors Society.
I want to attend a college that challenges and pushes me both academically and athletically. I am open to new ideas and options to eventually find the best college for me that can push me to grow in the tennis court and the classroom. I hope to become a great role model for my peers, to show them my passion for tennis, and a better version of myself.
