First and foremost, I don't ever quit in a match. There is no quit in Teresa Kaiser. I am fiercely competitive. Why take me on your tennis team? Because I have never had the opportunity to actually train for tennis. There is not an academy in Omaha, Nebraska. I want to work with a college level coach, and be coached. I want more than my current 6 hours of tennis clinic a week. I want a conditioning, and footwork program. I have so much room for improvement. I think I am a collegiate coaches' dream. I have excellent ground strokes, excellent work ethnic, and most importantly I am not burnt out on tennis. For example, I competed in a Missouri Valley Supers(Hardest level) tournament Jan. 10th, 11th, 2014. My tennis clinics ended Dec. 13th, 2013. There were not any clinics prior to the Jan. 10th tournament. That means 4 weeks of no clinics. I won 2 singles and lost 2 singles. My mother told me I did remarkable considering I had 2 hours on the tennis court in those 4 weeks. I won on sheer determination. I am excited about tennis at the collegiate level because I know I will improve dramatically from the college coaching and the college tennis program.
When I competed on the Missouri Valley, Intersectional Team, I loved the team feeling. It was so great to have others cheering me on and I loved rooting for my other teammates. I can only imagine how satisfying this must be at the collegiate level. I believe this is the only time in my life I will experience tennis, which is normally such a singular sport, as a team venue. This is another reason I am excited about competing on a college tennis team.
Lastly, I am a tough doubles player. I grew up with two older sisters, who on family tennis night loved to drill me with the ball. I am a lefty, so teamed with a right handed partner, we have forehands up the middle which makes a winning combination. I love the net, and my best asset is my hands.
I know I can contribute to a collegiate level tennis team and am looking for the correct coach and team for me.
