Hello! I am a junior at South Carolina Connections Academy and train at Tinkey Tennis Academy and Rise Academy. My goal is to play college tennis and major in computer science or psychology. I have been playing tennis since I was 4 years old and started playing tournaments at 8 years old. I love to compete, travel and meet new people. This year I have started volunteering at Charleston Tennis Center. I help coach children ages 4-10 red, orange, and green ball. Also this year, I volunteered in the activity zone at the Credit One Charleston Open tournament. This is a pro woman’s 250 tournament in my home town. My coach, Jamey, set up a practice session for me with tennis pro Marcela Zacarias at the tournament! This was an incredible moment for me to hit with her and learn from a pro player!
In 2018 and 2019 I was asked to be part of the USTA Net Generation team! This was exciting because I had the opportunity to meet new people and share my love for tennis with them. In 2017, 2018, and 2019 I received the CALTA (Charleston Area League Tennis Association) award. This program is intended to recognize sportsmanship, leadership, and dedication to the game of tennis. This was also a great moment for me!
I have been playing tennis with my JTT team since I was 9 years old. I love my team and how we have grown together, we are family! I can’t wait to have that in a college team. Thank you for your time and consideration.
