Thank you for visiting my profile. My name is Alexandra Santarelli and I love the game of tennis. I am very interested in playing at the next level and welcome the opportunity to play in college.
I play at The Lakes Tennis Academy under coach Andrew Painter and Dave Licker in Frisco, Texas. I want to make an impact on every team I play for, playing singles and doubles. I am a very hard working player and very competitive. I have good vision on the court and can read my opponent well in order to put myself in a good position to play offensively; one of my main strengths is my power.
I am currently a senior in the graduating class of 2014. I played high school tennis my freshmen and sophomore year as the #1 Varsity player, singles and doubles. I have since left high school tennis to concentrate on club tennis. I finished 2011 in Girls 16's Champs as the #1 player (USTA).
I have been able to balance playing 3 hours daily with weekend tournaments and full time schooling and I will continue to have this balance throughout college. Since my freshmen year, I have started and ended every semester on the Honor Roll and currently have a 4.5 weighted GPA with AP classes. I am also a member of the National Honor Society and understand the dedication and balance it takes to be a student-athlete. I am looking forward to furthering my tennis career in college and work harder doing so.
