Since 8th grade, I have been a goalie in the FC Dallas academy program. Like most high level athletes, I am driven and focused. The expectation of a MLS organization requires that attention, at a minimum. What they don't require or teach is maturity and humility and how to manage an intensely busy schedule and work ethic level that keeps me on track the remaining hours of the day. Currently, I am ranked #3 in my junior class, scored a 1420 on my PSAT, and recently scored a 1380 on the SAT. It is incredibly important to me to use my brain at its highest capacity both on the field and in school.
My leadership abilities and belief in team makes me an excellent candidate for any organization. While I am always putting in the extra work to better myself, I also do more because I feel responsible to the larger group. On the field, I work for the man to my left and my right and I make any sacrifices that they need from me. I believe in strong communication between teammates and coaches and focus on creating strong relationships with each person. As well, athletically speaking, I have incredible speed, especially for a goalkeeper. I am currently one of the fastest on my team and also am very quick to compliment my speed.
My collegiate goals would include excelling academically at whatever I find myself doing - currently, I'm interested in broadcasting/journalism - and working incredibly hard to be the best I can be and rise as high as possible. Again, both require hard work, growth, discipline, and the ability to adapt. I believe I am up to the challenge and will rise above the hard times and come out on top.
