Personal Statement

Hello, I am Evangeline Dunckley and I am 15 years old. Steve Prefontaine once said, "To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift." I work hard on and off the track to make sure I don't sacrifice my gift. I am a straight A student and I am Vice President of the Animal Advocacy club at my school. I have been running since I was 6 years old. I participated in multiple 5Ks as an elementary schooler and then started racing competitively when I entered middle school. I have been playing club soccer since I was 7 for Phoenix Rising. I want to run in college because I love being part of a team and pushing myself to my limits. I am extremely competitive and self motivated and I can't wait to see what the future holds.
