Madison King '19 Recruiting Profile

   I am a 6'1" Thrower from Hilmar, California and I graduated in 2019 from Pitman High School in Turlock. I’m attending William Jessup University in Rocklin, California.  I have competed in Hammer at the California State Hammer Championships my Freshman,  Sophomore and Junior years earning Top 8 Finishes all three years. As a Senior, I competed in the California HS Track & Field Winter Championships in Arcadia earning All-State Honors as Fifth place overall. I have qualified for the USATF Youth National Track & Field Championships the last three years in the Hammer Throw, earning a 12th Place finish in Lawrence, Kansas in Summer of ‘17. I own my High School Women's record in the Hammer, Weight Throw, and in the Throws Pentathlon. I am a member of the 30-30-30-30 Throwers Club (30'+ SP, 30m+ Hammer Throw, 30'+ Wt Throw, 30m+Discus). I have been named to many All-League and All-District Teams across Track & Field and Volleyball over the last three years. I have also received multiple All-Academic League Honors for my Pitman High School teams.

    In addition, I have a 4.42 GPA, weighted with Honors/AP, and a 26 ACT score. I have been named to the Principal's Honor List every semester in High School. 

   As an English major, would like to attend an institution that would help to set me up for success in the academic field, as well as support my athletic love of the Throwing events. I believe because of my size and athleticism, as well as my academic and athletic accomplishments, I have an incredible future to offer an institution as a student athlete (Thrower). I am interested in any schools nation wide, in all Divisions and Levels, that has a strong Throws Program and would be willing to invest in me to join them.
