As an athlete, I am always setting new goals for myself, pushing myself further with each go. I aspire to increase my vertical leap, develop mental focus, and become a more well-rounded player, yet am eager for new challenges and not only want to learn new things, but perfect them. Unlike most players, my agricultural background has helped me understand that hard work isn't always fun, but it pays off greatly. It has also taught me endurance and mental strength, even in times of great challenge. As a member of 4-H and FFA, I've learned to initiate and take on leadership roles, as well as supporting roles. Another thing that makes me unique is that my parents enrolled me in a bilingual education school. Since kindergarten, I have learned to speak, read, and write Spanish. This has opened me to creating friendships and has given me the ability to help people who may need help translating in English or Spanish, both largely spoken in California. This will help me in my life and eventual career to be the person that bridges gaps for people.
