Hey! :)
My name is London Rahn and I am a Track & Field athlete! My long term academic goal is to become a Zoological Veterinarian. My athletic goal is to push my self so far past my limits, I reach the dream goals i’ve been working towards.
I was born in Rochester, New York and resided there for 6 years with my parents and 6 siblings. When I turned 3, my mother put me in as many sports as I’d be willing to try. It started with swimming then went to tennis, to golf, to gymnastics. We then moved to the Palmetto state, South Carolina! This is where my love for running started.. I wasn’t really enjoying playing tennis or golf, I just felt like I wasn’t reaching my full potential. I played soccer in Sc for 2 years then our family moved again.. this time to the Old Dominion state, Virginia! I continued to play soccer here until I learned my new school had this running club called “girls on the run!” I continued to play soccer for a club but then I was triple booked evening out school, running, and soccer. I didn’t want to quit either, so I had to teach myself how to time manage and have self-discipline. I would study, work hard, get rid of any distractions, and do anything to keep my grades. I then took these skills along with me to Colorado! I moved to colorado in 5th grade and then I fell in love with football as I continued to run. I started playing flag football in 5th grade then in 7th, I played one year of football, volleyball and started Track. I partially tore my MCL this year and I was devastated I couldn’t keep running. I tried to do as much physical therapy and heal as fast & safely as possible without causing more injury. I got injured again in the middle of Track season Freshman year and I wasn’t allowed to compete or continue to play soccer. I was forced to take Sophomore Year off. I started to develop this deep passion and love for track itself and my teammates. They became apart of my daily life and what I always looked forward to at the end of every day. But despite these injuries, I would never give up no matter how tough things got. I would continue to push myself to the very edge of my abilities to catch back up to the others and get back where I should be. If someone told me I couldn’t do it, it would make me want to push myself even more, just to show them they’re wrong and i’m stronger than they think. I’ve always been a hard worker and determined to finish something once I start it. I’ve moved so many times, my friends are still apart of my life, I just sometimes have to sacrifice to make sure I stay on the right path and I don’t get distracted. I’ve always said ”if you don’t sacrifice for what you want, what you want becomes the sacrifice” I’m always looking to be pushed harder and always open to more coaching and advice! I’ve moved states and schools so many times that now, I look forward to meeting new people, being coached by new coaches, learning the different ways each coach coaches and runs things, and discovering new opportunities.
Currently enrolled and taking college courses at Colorado Early Colleges working towards my associates.
