Ella Gibb '22 Recruiting Profile

I lived in London for ten years of my life, and I raced competitively for my school there. Once I moved to Connecticut, I ran for the club team, the Blazers, during middle school, and currently am running for my varsity high school team. I have perpetually dreamed of running at a collegiate level ever since I began running competitively, and I know it would be the most exceptional opportunity.

I have fast-twitch muscles and have powerful kicks at the beginning and end of my race. I train year-round with strength training incorporated throughout the seasons. I always try to help younger kids throughout the season and aim to lead by example on what to do. I am easily coachable as I strive and desire to be the very best I can be.

I am exceptionally hardworking on the track and off. I aim very high in school by keeping a high-honors GPA and take honors and AP classes. Furthermore, I created a volunteer club at my high school where we go around and do things to help our community; picking up trash in parks, writing letters to the care center, etc. I also work my summers as a lifeguard at my town's local pool. 

I am hoping to attend a college where I can push myself academically and in my running. Ultimately, I want to go to a school where I can drive myself to be who I am and make my parents proud.
