Giana Ruggeri '26 Recruiting Profile

 Never in a million years would I expect running to change my life the way it did. Ever since I was young I have been exposed to many different sports. Dance, gymnastics, soccer, and swim were the sports that I did while I was in elementary and middle school. As time went on my passion started to fade. Once I began running that all changed for me. At first I did it for fun and as something to keep me active. Also knowing that I could focus on my own goals and what I really wanted to achieve. Running has opened up so many opportunities for me and it is something everyday that I continue to love and am very passionate about. 

Since I was little I have always wished my future would be one of my major aspirations in life. I began my love for learning about the skin and everything beauty related at a very young age. Learning about the different aspects of the skin with all of the layers and functions really sparked my interest. Becoming a dermatologist is a future dream. Helping those who do not feel confident in their skin and knowing that I have the power to make that change leaves me with a satisfied feeling. 

I have three main goals in my life: Academics, Acts, and Athletics. In academics, I continue to push myself to stay on high honor roll with a 3.91 unweighted GPA as I motivate myself to work hard each and every day. College studies are a big part of  life and seeing the results that I want for myself in school only motivates me to do better for my future. The second one acts as I want to be someone who is involved in my college life. Getting opportunities to experience the authenticity of clubs and social gatherings. Lastly in athletics, not only is this something that will keep me physically active but it will also keep me mentally busy. Some of the awards that I have received have been the Coaches Award XC 2022, Rookie Award TF 2023, MVP Award XC 2023.  All three of those things spark my drive for my future.  I wish to find a college that is a right match for me balancing all that I have to offer.
