Personal Statement
My dream goal is one day to participle and throw the discus in the Olympics and I believe I have the ability to make that dream come assessable to me. I have been throwing since my middle school years and have a good knowledge of what makes a good thrower, but I have much room for improvement. I had the ability to practice a bit with Rusty Smith who coached Randy Barnes onto the Olympics, and he helped me realize I can make my dream goal a reality. But, I do realize I have much more to learn and willing to put the extra mile in to make that a possibility. I am also beginning to learn how to throw the javelin this senior year as it has not been presented to me in prior years as an option to throw.
Though this is my dream goal, my realistic goal is to help others. Thus, understanding I need a good education and need to have a career that allows me to help others. I plan on majoring in the medical field, though I don't have my exact expertise down yet.
I am outgoing and enjoy meeting new people. I am the type of person that you have to have laughter in your life to be enjoying your life. It's like laughter is good medicine for the soul. When it comes to my passions, I am very serious and willing to bring 100% to the plate. Over the years, I have learned to balance responsibility and fun on a level where I can do both.
